Questions buyers ask first.
Do we need Apple Business?
For Apple Business apps and zero-touch setup, yes, and devices can also enrol with a link you send. Apple Business is Apple’s service for organisations. If you are new to it, apply early: Apple verifies each new account before it can be used.
Will our staff have to do anything?
They open the enrolment link you send, or a device bought through Apple Business sets itself up out of the box. After that, Vamiq installs the apps you assign. If a device asks, the person taps to accept.
Where is our data?
Customer data is hosted in the UK and backed up daily. Our service providers and where they process data are listed in our Sub-processors list.
We already use a device management service. Can we keep it?
Yes. Apple Business can connect to more than one device management service and assign each device to one of them, so you can keep your current service on the devices it already manages and use Vamiq for the rest. If both use Apps and Books licences, give each service its own content token.
What if we leave?
Cancel in your billing settings: you keep what you paid for to the end of the period, then the workspace moves to the Free plan. If you leave altogether, you have 30 days to export your data. Your Apple Business account, apps and licences stay yours.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is charged and nothing is deleted: the workspace moves to the Free plan, which covers up to 5 devices and keeps installing your apps on them. Your own app store and release controls pause until you add Distribution. Add devices beyond 5 when you need them.
Does Vamiq manage Windows?
Yes, for Windows 11 Pro PCs. Enrol a PC with a link and a one-time code, see its model, serial number, Windows version, update status and last check-in, and set screen lock, Windows Update active hours and Microsoft Defender real-time protection. Install apps, put PCs in groups with their own settings, and restart, remove or erase a PC, with a second administrator approving each erase if you choose. No extra Microsoft licence is needed to enrol a PC. Start free to enrol your first PC.
